This restaurant made a buzz online because of the unique ambiance it offers. By visiting this place, you can already have a taste of both worlds: a restaurant and pasyalan in one.
Located at Calauan, Laguna, it offers a wide range of food and a place that will give you a feel of being in a different country.
Surrounded with several huge figures, huts and other characters, this place is a perfect spot for your Instagram worthy photos. Some said that the place is also beautiful at night but I still vote for the natural beauty that sunlight can give so go there in the day time.
There are also some activities you can do like releasing your anger by throwing stuff to the walls like bowls, clock, and even TV just to name a few. Of course, you have to pay for it for a reasonable price.
You can also take a boat that will tour you around the area through these small passages.
You can also catch an afternoon show where they will entertain you with some acrobatic stunts, dancing and singing while you’re savouring your food. The crew of the show will then go around guests’ tables, sing for you and take photos with you for a tip.
Because the place is huge, I suggest that you first get a table, order food and then go around the place and take photos while waiting for your gastronomic indulgence to arrive. This way, you will surely enjoy your food because of all the walking you did.
Here are some of the photos I took from our visit last February 2017:
For the food, I must say that nothing really spectacular, but it wasn’t bad as well, except for the crispy pata because it was sooo good!!
I just find it a bit pricey as it costed us a little less than PHP 5,000 for 8 pax, but the place and experience will compensate for it. So make sure to bring a good camera with you!
I hope this gave you an idea of what to expect but leaving some holes for you to fill in when you visit the place yourself.
